John and I are no strangers to sushi. We do however get a little frustrated dropping $50-75 on a meal and still leave hungry. Yelp came to the rescue to help locate a new restaurant near us. We read the reviews and quickly realized we totally hit the jackpot, I’m not even kidding. If you haven’t been to Sushi Kadan in Carrollton, TX (Old Denton and Frankford Rd.) find an excuse and go ASAP.
First Impression
The moment you walk in you are greeted by the majority of the staff members yelling “welcome” in Japanese. As you look around the room it’s a little dark however it’s charming and inviting. Kadan means “Flower bed or garden” so you will find carefully placed cherry blossom trees throughout. The entire ambiance is mesmerizing along with the table settings under each tree.
In total there are over 70 diverse and unique sushi roll options to choose from. Also did I mention the rolls are the size of Texas, yes they are HUGE! This place hands down is on point with service, experience and most importantly value. The owner is from Vancouver, Canada and has created a unique place for locals to enjoy outstanding sushi at a VERY reasonable price.
To date we have introduced maybe 10 people to this restaurant and their response “Best Sushi Ever”. People can’t finish what they ordered because the rolls are ridiculous in size. Grab a friend and head to Sushi Kadan and thank me later 😉
