We visit Lubbock, TX throughout the year to see family and it is always our mission to find new good eats in town. The day before Thanksgiving we took John’s parents to a HOLE in the WALL place and scored big time. Thai Kitchen is not located in what I would call the best part of town, in fact the waze app couldn’t even find it; however it’s worth it for the authentic food and experience.
We walked into a large open room and grabbed a table near the back. It felt and looked like we were an authentic restaurant on the street of Bangkok. The staff was friendly and helpful.
What’s for dinner?
I ventured out and decided to order the Green Curry. It was spot on. Not too spicy, it was just right. John and his parents enjoyed the popular Pad Thai dish and of course the chicken satay appetizer was so perfect with the homemade peanut sauce. On a recent trip to Thailand we learned how to make chicken satay along with the peanut dipping sauce. Super easy to make!
We will definitely return the next time we are in town. If you are on the adventurous side grab your family and friends and get ready for the best Thai in Lubbock.
