Oreo Dirt Cake

Flour is apparently hard to come by lately so if you have the craving for something sweet and baking a traditional cake isnโ€™t an option might I suggest a โ€œDirt Cakeโ€.

I told John I needed more dessert recipes for the blog and since he would need to eat most of it, I asked him what we would like me to make. He said, โ€œhow about that dirt cakeโ€. I was a little stunned, out of all the desserts in the world you want a dirt cake. He said โ€œYesโ€. Iโ€™ll admit I may have โ€œslightlyโ€ given him a hard time however it was well worth it in the end.

I forgot how tasty crushed up Oreos with melted butter, cream cheese, whip cream and vanilla pudding taste. Lets just say the cake didnโ€™t last long, we may or may not have had two pieces in one day and I see another dirt cake in the near future.

8. Top with reserved crushed Oreos.
9. Refrigerate until well chilled, at least 3 hours or overnight.
