Blackberry Elderflower Cocktail

Mike and Shelly were visiting us for their first trip to Texas and I wanted to make sure I was prepared and had drinks ready for everyone. I asked Mike what his favorite drink is and he began to tell me about a restaurant in Florida called Forgotten Tonic that served a blackberry cocktail called Raising Cane that left quite the impression.

The drink ingredients seemed to be pretty simple so I searched for a similar recipe and I think I found a winner. Up until this point I really never made craft cocktails however I have to say it was pretty fun to pretend to be a bartender.

I didn’t have a muddle stick so I used the end of a wooden spoon and it worked perfectly. You don’t always need the fancy tools to make a tasty drink.

I was curious if this recipe tasted good with raspberries and I definitely favor the blackberries. If you are looking for a summer drink that is refreshing, easy to make and super tasty I highly recommend this blackberry cocktail.
